xanga days...

hahhaa... wow... in running into grandma today (via AIM) of course, she revived my consciousness on XANGA. i didn't realize there was blog ring of snickerdoodle triads on there. i can't believe i was being stalked the whole time on xanga. i forgot all about my xanga account and all that stuff that has been written on there. lol! it's funny, i guess blogging does have this time capsule phenomenon to it, so long as u always keep the account alive. haha. it was a funny walk back in time. and now it's blogspot days. now i just gotta figure out what to do with my xanga.

kanha, don't go. but u don't have to take my advice. it's an opinion.

it's just not the right time. i think timing has a lot to do with this, despite impulses. feelings do say something, but at the same time, reality says another. thought this may seem like a calling and it may seem like the only time. it's not. something better will come. it will.

two weeks is a minimum for southeast asia. one week is suitable for canada or chicago or the east coast or the carribean islands. lol. alrite. maybe not the last. but yes, u will come back regretting the fact that u started urself out with such a small amount of time and money. u will come back only "partially" satisfied and almost crazily miseraable with money matters and the fact that this was not a well-planned trip. not all trips need to be crazily planned or anything but it's no doubt evident that one week is less than sufficient for going to a place that matters soo much to who u are and what all this means to u.

if ur purpose for going there is to inhale the essence of all that it is in connection to u and ur history, one week will be a mere illusion to ur purpose.

with one week, consider urself a disneyland visitor who's just roaming around the admissions box area. u barely made it into the entrance. consider it that.

i hope that helps...my two cents are just two cents. =D so let us know what ur final call is. =)

p.s. when is the next time that u'll be going to SEA? the winter of 2006. when will we go to Cuba? the spring break of 2007 =) by then both Dina, and YOU and a few of the other berkeley blog circles can afford a REAL trip. and it's enjoyable when ur there with the ppl whose company u enjoy best. at least that's what i learned through my trip, though i met great ppl, it's just not the same as biting heads off and resolving to warm laughter with ur special circle of frends. =D

got the job...

thnx to wonderful loni... i got the job. yay! i think. well... looks like i will be working 9hrs. a day for a locked down "monthly" salary of 1800/mo. and they got me on chains for 1 year. the lucky bastards got me. hmmm...i do feel a bit exploited. but eh. it's something ain't it. it's definitely not much if i were to live on my own...but hey hey, thank god i don't...i still have good ol' mommy n daddy to piggy back on. poor them. poor me. but life goes on. so maybe my blog may have a new subject after all. we'll see what the job comes out to be like. but it just worries me already that they need me for more than 8hrs. a day. hmmm... mysteries byond mysteries. we shall see. let's just hope they are nice to me. that will make my days go by faster.

well, long story short, i'm back in the bay area! yay!! after the crazy month on the road and thanksgiving madness, i'm finally trying to settle down and get stuff in order: school, money, family... *sigh* family... but anywhos... i'll try to remember this blog ;)

Voter Frenzy

NO to Prop 73-78: they're all total smokescreens, all a joke and centralizes too much power into the government's hand about really important issues that affect us all. But if you have another perspective on these, please do share. I want to know if i'm making the right decisions. Orawin, i definitely want to hear back from u about Prop 74, i've been meaning to ask you about this one for so long.

YES to Prop 79: more provisions and specific about enforcements on drug companies to provide true discounts to low-income consumers. it could continue to be implemented in a more positive way in the future, which is the direction i hope it heads in.

Prop 80: this is a hard one. i haven't fully decided yet. It's too centralized on gov't's power to control energy, which kind of freaks me out, because i don't really count too much on gov't to regulate in the interests of the ppl (well, at least with the current administration in hand) as oppose to the interests of energy corporations, which could lead to an almost legalize monopolies of few companies, so maybe an oligopoly. at the same time, it seems convincing, if the gov't does regulate the energy companies truly on behalf on the ppl and keep energy prices low and prevent market manipulation. this is hard. please share ur opinions on this one.

i should of post it earlier. arrrgh. not much room for discussion is there, since today is voting day.

HASS = BS ???

u get a BS for learning business management at HASS Undergrad Business program? ARRRGH!

and MCB students sit in labs all day and we're not considered to be schooled in "SCIENCE"

3. The Salk asked for my writing samples...I AM SO DESPERATE...I really REALLY hope they want to interview me. I just can't do this job no mo. NO MO MICE for this Kat!!!!

4. In Japan researchers pray for mice at the temple. Kinda twisted huh?
